Under the August Moon brings the Pembina Valley Astro Club back to the orchard for a late summer night of looking up.
THIS THURSDAY
The Pembina Valley Astro Club will be setting up their telescopes in the orchard for the lunar eclipse, and we’re keeping the Taproom open late for it.
The eclipse begins around 8:15pm and peaks just after 11pm.

ABOUT PEMBINA VALLEY ASTRO CLUB
Led by Kenton Dyck, the Pembina Valley Astro Club has spent the last few years bringing the night sky a little closer to home, setting up telescopes around the region and inviting anyone curious enough to have a look.
Last year alone, the club hosted 32 public viewing nights, travelled nearly 2,000 kilometres and gave more than 2,000 people a chance to look through a telescope.
Their long-term goal is even bigger: a dedicated observatory here in the Pembina Valley, built for watching, photographing and learning from what passes overhead.
